Why Quebec and Ontario are different
Gambling in Canada is run province by province, and sweepstakes casinos sit in a grey area. Two provinces stand out:
- Quebec has its own strict rules for contests and prize promotions, so most sweepstakes casinos simply exclude it.
- Ontario runs a regulated online casino market. Some sweepstakes casinos stay out of Ontario, and others accept it with extra restrictions.
