At a glance

Stake.us has a huge game library, its own in-house Originals and fast crypto prize payouts, which makes it a natural fit for crypto users in the states it still serves. The trade-offs are real: a 3x playthrough, 23 closed states, a 2% fee on bank redemptions, and an unusually long list of lawsuits, including one from Florida's attorney general.

Great for

  • Crypto users who want prizes paid in digital currency
  • Players who like simple in-house games such as Plinko, Dice and Crash
  • Regular players who will use the daily 1 SC bonus

Not ideal for

  • Players in the 23 states Stake.us doesn't accept, now including Oklahoma
  • Anyone who wants a 1x playthrough on Sweeps Coins
  • Players who want bank payouts with no fee

Pros

  • More than 3,000 games, including about 30 Stake Originals
  • Crypto redemptions are reported to arrive fast once approved
  • 1 free Stake Cash every day you claim the daily bonus

Cons

  • 3x playthrough on Stake Cash, higher than the usual 1x
  • Closed in 23 states, with more exits in 2026
  • 2% fee on bank transfer redemptions since April 2026
  • Facing a Florida AG lawsuit and multiple class actions

Our verdict on Stake.us

Stake.us is the US sweepstakes version of the Stake brand. It stands out for its size (more than 3,000 games), its own in-house Stake Originals, and crypto prize redemptions that reviews describe as fast once approved. It’s also one of the most legally exposed sweepstakes casinos in the country, and it has been pulling out of states all year. If you live in a state it still serves and you’re comfortable with crypto, it has a lot to offer. Just go in knowing the 3x playthrough and the legal backdrop.

Our hands-on test with a real account is still in progress, so there’s no AmeriSpin rating on this page yet. Everything below comes from dated 2026 reviews and news reports, listed at the end. We couldn’t open Stake.us’s own terms page for this check, so state details are taken from reports that quote it.

Welcome offer and free coins

Like every sweepstakes casino, Stake.us uses two currencies. Gold Coins (GC) are for fun only and can’t be redeemed. Stake Cash (SC) is Stake’s name for Sweeps Coins, the currency you can redeem for prizes at 1 SC to $1.

  • Free on sign-up: 250,000 GC and 25 SC, added once your identity check is approved. Reports say it can take up to 48 hours.
  • Daily bonus: 10,000 GC and 1 SC each time you claim it, every 24 hours.
  • Promo codes: many affiliate sites advertise their own codes for larger packages. They change often, so treat any big number as unconfirmed until you see it in your account.
  • Playthrough: 3x on Stake Cash. Most rivals ask for 1x, so 25 free SC needs 75 SC of play before it can be redeemed.

From a bonus-fairness point of view, the 3x playthrough matters more than the headline offer. It doesn’t make the coins worthless, but it does mean more of your free Stake Cash will be lost to the house edge before you can redeem it.

Redeeming prizes

  • Crypto: the main route. Reviews report approval in about 24 hours, then payment within an hour depending on the coin. Network fees can apply (Ethereum is the costly one).
  • Bank transfer: available, but since April 17, 2026 Stake.us takes a 2% fee from every bank redemption. Crypto isn’t affected.
  • Minimum: sources disagree. Recent reports put it at 40 to 50 played Stake Cash; some quote lower crypto minimums. Check the cashier yourself.
  • Identity check: a photo ID, proof of address and a selfie.

Gift cards are mentioned by some reviews and not by others, so we haven’t listed them as a confirmed method.

Games and apps

Stake.us lists more than 3,000 games. A June 2026 count by LegalSportsReport found about 2,400 slots, 50+ live dealer tables, 26 table games and around 30 Stake Originals such as Plinko, Crash, Limbo, HiLo, Mines and Dice. Studios named include Hacksaw Gaming, Evolution, NetEnt and Gaming Corps, plus a run of Stake-exclusive slots. Some titles are blocked in certain states.

There’s no Stake.us app in Google Play. Reviews disagree about iOS, so the mobile browser site is the dependable way to play on a phone. The desktop site has a built-in community chat.

Where you can play

As of October 2026, Stake.us does not accept players in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Vermont, Washington and West Virginia. That’s 23 states.

Recent exits worth knowing:

  • Oklahoma: Stake.us updated its terms ahead of the state’s ban (SB 1589, effective November 1, 2026). October 30 was the last day to play Stake Cash and buy coin packages. Players can still request redemptions for Stake Cash that has met the playthrough.
  • Illinois: redeem-only from May 19, 2026, after the Gaming Board’s cease-and-desist letters.
  • Maine and Indiana: both are on the excluded list after their 2026 bans; Ballislife reports Stake stopped play in Maine once its ban took effect in July.

Florida isn’t on the excluded list in the October 2026 sources we checked, but see the lawsuit below. The map below shows where every state stands for Stake.us today, including states that ban all sweepstakes casinos.

The lawsuits

Stake.us has more legal action against it than most sweepstakes brands:

  • Florida: on August 19, 2026, Florida’s attorney general sued Stake (and VGW, which runs Chumba) in Hillsborough County Circuit Court, calling the sites illegal gambling and asking for a permanent injunction, refunds of player losses and civil penalties.
  • Class actions: Gambling Insider counted at least nine suits by February 2026, in Illinois, California, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, New Mexico, Utah, Virginia and Ohio. Each claims Stake.us runs unlicensed gambling under a sweepstakes label. Some also name streamers who promoted it.
  • Arbitration: in July 2026 a federal judge in Minnesota refused to send one of these cases to arbitration, so it can go ahead as a class action.

None of this means Stake.us has been found liable. It does mean the site’s future in some states is uncertain. If you play there, redeem winnings regularly rather than holding a large balance.

Is Stake.us legit and safe?

  • Who runs it: Sweepsteaks Limited. It shares the Stake brand with Stake.com, a separate real-money crypto casino that doesn’t serve the US.
  • Identity checks: required before any redemption, which is standard.
  • State compliance: it has withdrawn from a long list of states as bans and regulator actions arrived.
  • Legal risk: high compared with peers, as set out above.

Terms worth knowing

  • You must be 21 or older.
  • Stake Cash has a 3x playthrough, including Stake Cash you win.
  • Bank redemptions cost 2%; crypto redemptions don’t carry a Stake.us fee.
  • The welcome Stake Cash only arrives after your identity is verified.
  • If your state closes, you may get only a short window to play or redeem. Keep your balance low.

Redeeming at Stake.us, step by step

  1. Play your Stake Cash three times

Stake Cash must be wagered 3x before it counts as redeemable, including Stake Cash you win.

  2. Verify your identity

Expect to upload a photo ID, proof of address and a selfie before your first redemption.

  3. Pick crypto or bank

Crypto redemptions have no Stake.us fee. Bank transfers carry a 2% fee taken from the amount.

  4. Get paid

Reviews report approval in about a day, then crypto within an hour; bank transfers take longer.

Stake.us FAQ

Is Stake.us legit?

Stake.us is a real, large sweepstakes casino run by Sweepsteaks Limited and linked to the Stake.com brand. Play your Stake Cash through three times, verify your identity, then request a crypto or bank redemption. Bank transfers carry a 2% fee. Stake Cash redeems at 1 SC to $1.

What is the Stake.us minimum redemption?

Reviews don't agree. Recent figures put it at 40 to 50 played Stake Cash, and some sources quote lower amounts for crypto. Check the cashier before you plan around a number.

Does Stake.us have an app?

Stake.us is built for the mobile browser. There's no Stake.us app in Google Play, and reviews disagree on whether an iOS app is offered, so the browser site is the reliable option.
