Our verdict on Spree

Spree launched in 2024 and has grown fast on the back of a very large slot library: reviews count more than 2,500 slots from over 40 studios, plus its own originals and a three-player battle game called Sit & Spin. Gift-card prizes start at just 10 Spree Coins. The trade-offs are support (email first, no live chat), no native app, and a state list that has moved around more than most.

Our hands-on test with a real account is still in progress, so there’s no AmeriSpin rating on this page yet. We couldn’t open Spree’s own terms for this review, so the facts below come from dated 2026 reviews, each listed at the end. Where those sources disagree, we say so.

Welcome offer and free coins

Spree uses two currencies. Gold Coins (GC) are for fun only and can’t be redeemed. Spree Coins (SC) are Spree’s name for sweeps coins: they’re the ones you can turn into prizes, at roughly 1 SC to $1.

  • Free on sign-up: 25,000 GC and 2.5 SC, added after you verify your email. No code needed. Spree used to advertise a much bigger Gold Coin number, so older pages may show a different figure.
  • First purchase: $19.99 for 60,000 GC and 60 SC, according to both TheLines and Gambling.com. A $9.99 pack is reported at 30,000 GC and 30 SC by one review, and 40,000 GC, 40 SC and 40 Gift Spins by another, so check the live offer.
  • Daily login: reviews report 2,000 GC and about 0.3 SC a day, with rewards that grow over a short login streak.
  • Playthrough: Spree Coins must be played once (1x) before they can be redeemed.

You never have to buy anything to play. Buying Gold Coins doesn’t change your odds; the free Spree Coins bundled with a pack are the part with prize value.

Redeeming prizes

  • Gift cards: from 10 SC, sent by email, usually within 48 hours.
  • Cash: by bank transfer. Most reviews put the minimum at 75 SC; TheLines (September 2026) lists 100 SC. Plan for the higher figure until you see Spree’s cashier.
  • Speed: cash can take up to 10 days, which is slow for the category.
  • Limits: one redemption request every 48 hours, and up to 5,000 SC per cash request.
  • Identity check: a one-time check through Veriff. Expect to upload a passport or driver’s license and a bank statement or utility bill dated in the last three months.

One review notes that cash payments may show on your bank statement under a different company name. That’s common in this industry, but worth knowing so a deposit doesn’t look like a mistake.

Games and apps

Game counts vary by source, from about 1,400 to more than 2,600, which mostly reflects when each review was written. Named studios include Pragmatic Play, Playson, Relax Gaming, 3 Oaks, BGaming, Booming Games, Playtech and Yggdrasil. There are a handful of live dealer tables through ICONIC21 and Playtech, but very few classic table games.

Spree has no native iOS or Android app. You can add the mobile site to your home screen, and it runs in any modern browser.

Where you can play

Spree’s state list has changed several times, and the sources we checked don’t fully agree. Here’s what they show:

  • Listed as excluded in every recent source: Connecticut, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee and Washington.
  • Gold Coins only: California, where a state ban on sweeps coin play took effect on January 1, 2026.
  • Disputed: Delaware, Maryland and West Virginia appear on most lists but not on TheLines’ September 2026 list. Alabama and Georgia were removed from Spree’s excluded list in September 2025 but appear again on that same TheLines list.
  • Oklahoma: no source lists it as excluded yet, but Oklahoma’s ban takes effect November 1, 2026. We found no Spree announcement, so expect access there to end.

Our state map below shows each state’s legal status. Spree checks your location and your proof of address, so a VPN won’t help at redemption time.

Is Spree legit and safe?

  • Who runs it: Play Spree Ltd, registered in the Isle of Man.
  • ID checks: required before your first redemption, which is a normal sign of a compliant operator.
  • Track record: Spree has a large Trustpilot following with a score near 4 out of 5. One review flags player complaints about accounts being blocked after wins, so read the terms on bonus abuse and multiple accounts carefully.
  • Responsible play: time-outs and self-exclusion are available, but Gambling.com reports no purchase limits or reality checks, and changes go through email support.

Support and the 48-hour rule

Spree’s support model is the weakest part of the package. There’s no live chat. Email replies are reported at 12 to 24 hours, and a US phone line exists for payment questions only. Combine that with the one-request-every-48-hours redemption rule and the up-to-10-day cash window, and a problem with a payout can take a while to sort out. If speed matters to you, use gift cards, which are both faster and cheaper to unlock.

Terms worth knowing

  • Minimum age is 18, but some states require 21. Plan on 21 if you’re unsure.
  • Spree Coins need a 1x playthrough before redemption.
  • Cash requests are capped at 5,000 SC each, and you can make one every 48 hours.
  • Proof of address must be dated within three months.
  • Offers and the state list change often. Follow Spree on AmeriSpin to get an alert when they do.

  3. Choose your prize

Gift cards from 10 SC by email, or cash by bank transfer from 75–100 SC, up to 5,000 SC per request.

Spree FAQ

Is Spree legit?

Spree is run by Play Spree Ltd, a company registered in the Isle of Man, and has operated since 2024. It checks ID before redemptions and publishes terms and sweepstakes rules. Like every sweepstakes casino, it isn't a licensed real-money casino, and whether you can play depends on your state.

Is Spree available in my state?

Reviews from August to October 2026 agree Spree excludes Connecticut, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee and Washington, with California limited to Gold Coins. Some also list Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Alabama and Georgia. Oklahoma's ban starts November 1, 2026. Check Spree's own state list before signing up.

How do I redeem at Spree?

Play your Spree Coins through once, verify your ID and address, then request a gift card from 10 SC or a bank transfer. Most reviews put the cash minimum at 75 SC; one September 2026 review lists 100 SC.

Does Spree have an app?

No native iOS or Android app, according to 2026 reviews. You can add the mobile site to your home screen, which works like an app.

Do I need a Spree promo code?

No. The 25,000 Gold Coins and 2.5 Spree Coins sign-up bonus is added without a code once you verify your email.

How fast are Spree redemptions?

Gift cards usually arrive within 48 hours. Bank transfers are reported at three to ten days, and you can only make one redemption request every 48 hours.
